Wroclaw Operations to Provide Eagle Clients with Enhanced 24x7 Support

BOSTON and WROCLAW, POLAND – October 9, 2013Eagle Investment Systems LLC (Eagle), a leading provider of financial services technology and a subsidiary of BNY Mellon, announced that it has established a presence in Wroclaw, Poland to support an increasingly global business and to further address the technical and service needs of Eagle clients leveraging its data management, investment accounting and performance measurement solutions.

The skillset of Eagle’s team in Wroclaw will complement BNY Mellon’s Global Delivery Center (GDC) in the city, which was established last year. As Eagle builds its presence in Poland, it will look to leverage BNY Mellon’s significant and ongoing local investments.

“Eagle’s arrival in Wroclaw will further expand the breadth of talent we possess here in Poland,” said Martin Ring, managing director of BNY Mellon Poland. “Bringing our organizations and skillsets together in one Centre will create clear opportunities for collaboration and innovation as we look to offer our clients the highest levels of support and knowledge.”

Dan St. Onge, Eagle’s COO said, “As our business continues to grow and evolve globally, our clients’ needs have become more sophisticated and complex. Our Wroclaw operation provides Eagle with a central hub for global support in the EMEA region and is an integral component of our 24x7 scalable support model. The calibre of talent and the rich, global culture of this city will help us to address our clients’ needs quickly with local professionals who truly understand the nuances of our global client base.”

Eagle currently employs nine highly skilled employees in its Wroclaw office with plans to continue to add staff to meet client demand. Poland is a central location within Europe, offering high quality staff and infrastructure, coupled with attractive economics and financial incentives. Wroclaw itself is a major business centre and university city with nearly 150,000 students. Its close proximity to other, neighbouring university cities means it offers a deep pool of educated, talented and motivated graduates and as such is fertile ground for cultivating new talent.

As part of an ongoing strategy to optimise its infrastructure and support its global business plans, in March 2012 BNY Mellon named Wroclaw as the fifth of six Global Delivery Centres (GDC) to be established by the company, with the others being located in Pittsburgh, Central New York, Manchester, Pune, and Chennai. Staff at the Wroclaw GDC work in highly skilled roles predominately in fund accounting and investment operations. Those skills and the Centre’s robust infrastructure will assist Eagle in achieving its global expansion plans.
