Eagle Thought Leader to Speak on Fixed Income Attribution at PMAR Europe

12 June, 2017

LONDON – June 12, 2017 – Eagle Investment Systems LLC, a BNY Mellon company, has announced it will be participating at the Journal of Performance Measurement’s eighth annual international Performance Measurement, Attribution & Risk Conference (PMAR) on 14-15 June in London.

João Sousa Dias, Solutions Specialist at Eagle, will be opening the proceedings with a keynote presentation on fixed income attribution. As part of his presentation, he will discuss the value of duration-based fixed income attribution models, the challenges of accounting for residual returns, and the role of data inconsistencies as a primary source of residuals.

“Fixed income attribution is one of the fastest growing areas of focus for investment managers as they look to understand and explain the drivers of performance,” said João Sousa Dias. “There are several challenges in obtaining meaningful and accurate results, but residuals, often due to poor data quality, remain one of the biggest barriers. I look forward to discussing the different approaches to fixed income attribution and how residual management practices can streamline the process of calculating fixed income attribution and increase the accuracy of its results.”

PMAR Europe, which runs between 14-15 June, is set to attract more than 200 performance professionals from asset management firms, asset owners, custodians, and software and technology providers from across the globe to share best practices about the latest industry developments. Sousa Dias and other Eagle representatives will be available throughout the forum to discuss Eagle’s performance measurement, attribution and risk solutions.
