Eagle Thought Leaders to Discuss Best Practices in Data Management and Multi-Asset Performance Attribution at TSAM NY

24 May, 2016

Eagle Investment Systems LLC, a BNY Mellon company and leading provider of financial services technology, announced today that Paul McInnis, Head of Enterprise Data Management, and Rich Mailhos, Product Manager overseeing Eagle’s performance measurement and attribution solution, will each represent Eagle at the 2016 TSAM New York conference, being held on June 23rd in New York City.

The Summit for Asset Management, or TSAM, attracts senior decision makers across several complementary roles, including client reporting and communications, technology and operational strategy, data management, performance measurement and investment risk, and marketing and sales. In addition to the speaking roles, Eagle will also be presenting a product demonstration at the event, which this year is being held at Convene’s 730 Third Ave conference space.

Paul McInnis will be presenting in a session that explores how organizations can ensure that data management strategies facilitate and promote the alignment of technology capabilities with business goals.

“We’ve witnessed a rapid cultural shift toward the adoption of data governance and standardization practices, which has been driven by and, at the same time, reinforces radical changes in data storage and consumption,” McInnis said. “It’s critical that organizations strike the right balance between insourcing and co-sourcing—or understand when a fully outsourced solution can deliver the most tangible business benefit—in order to best position the organization for growth.”

Rich Mailhos, meanwhile, will be featured in a panel that discusses best practices around multi-asset performance attribution and strategies in managing varying benchmarks and methodologies to track performance across asset categories.

“This is a topic that is top of mind for performance professionals, as there is often a struggle within organizations to find one agreed-upon strategy and process to provide management and clients with a holistic view of performance drivers,” Mailhos said. “We frequently encounter a number of proprietary, in-house systems, which often contribute to the challenge while also going against the theme of standardization we’re seeing in the industry today.”

The technology and business alignment presentation, given by Paul McInnis and part of the Data Management track at TSAM, will take place at 2:35 pm, while the multi-asset attribution panel, featuring Rich Mailhos and part of the Performance Measurement and Investment Risk track will take place at 1:50 pm. Both speakers will be available throughout the day at the Eagle booth to meet with conference delegates and share their views regarding the latest trends across the financial services technology landscape.
