Eagle Thought Leaders to Discuss Data Quality and Innovation at TSAM NY

9 June, 2015

BOSTON - June 9, 2015– Eagle Investment Systems LLC, a BNY Mellon company and leading provider of financial services technology, announced today that Jeremy Skaling, Head of Product Management, and Steve Taylor, Head of Enterprise Technology, will each represent Eagle at the 2015 TSAM New York conference, being held on June 18th.

Mr. Skaling is featured in the panel discussion: “Best Practices for Ensuring Data Quality and Accuracy.” As part of the panel, on TSAM’s Data Management track, Mr. Skaling will share how the world’s leading investment firms approach, implement and achieve a data management strategy that facilitates accuracy and consistency, while ensuring data quality, even as the volume of information and complexity of data continue to grow exponentially.

“Governance and attention to data quality have graduated beyond just being an issue for IT, as business operators, clients and regulators demand accurate and consistent data, as well as transparency into data lineage from source to consumption,” Mr. Skaling said. “A data-centric approach that delivers validated and enriched data consistently across back-, middle- and front-office functions, not only supports better-informed decisions, but also promotes added efficiencies that lower the cost of ownership and expedites clients’ time to value.”

As part of TSAM’s Technology and Operational Strategy Track, Mr. Taylor will present on the topic of “Managing the Agility, Flexibility and Scalability of Systems As the Needs of Business Change.” The presentation, against a backdrop of the still-unfolding regulatory and reporting landscape, will explore how investment managers and chief information officers can safeguard their organization against obsolescence, particularly amid industry consolidation and as legacy systems become outdated. Mr. Taylor will also explore how he sees financial services and technology evolving over the next decade and the role millennials will play as the industry adapts.

“The financial services industry is as dynamic and competitive as any sector, with a product set and regulatory landscape that is continually changing,” Mr. Taylor said. “It’s critical for technology and service providers to continually re-invest in their offering in order to keep pace with or drive innovation that supports growth and provides investment firms with a distinct competitive advantage.”

TSAM New York will be held at the New York Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge. Mr. Skaling’s panel is scheduled to occur at 11:15am, while Mr. Taylor’s presentation will take place at 12:25pm. Both speakers will be available throughout the day to discuss data management and technology operations with delegates.
