Eagle to Weigh in on Data Governance at the 2015 Buy-Side Technology North American Summit

28 September, 2015

BOSTON – September 28, 2015– Eagle Investment Systems LLC, a BNY Mellon company and leading provider of financial services technology, will participate in a panel titled Ensuring data governance is at the forefront of your business at this year's Buy-Side Technology North American Summit on October 7 in New York City.

Representing Eagle in the panel session will be Paul McInnis, Head of Enterprise Data Management. The panelists will discuss strategies for creating a data governance framework, how to designate responsibility, and the potential obstacles to implementation. They will also cover the role of data lineage and how vendors can support a successful data governance strategy.

“Many firms fall into a gap between intention and execution when it comes to data governance,” said McInnis. “They recognize the importance of data to their organization and the need for a robust framework, but they struggle to get the data governance initiatives off the ground. At Eagle we are experienced in helping clients bridge this gap and I am looking forward to sharing our insights with delegates and giving them actionable takeaways they can leverage to ensure their data governance initiatives are a success.”

The Buy-Side Technology North American Summit draws end users from top buy-side firms across the U.S. The annual event brings together senior data, business and technology executives to showcase innovative strategies and address the latest trading and technology challenges affecting the buy side in a fluid financial and regulatory landscape.
